To avoid strike action during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, French government will provide workers with bonuses and additional benefits
The French government announced last week that it would be providing government employees working during the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games with wage bonuses and increased benefits. The French minister for transformation and public services stated that workers will earn up to an additional 1500 euros for working throughout the duration of the games. The government is providing incentives to deter workers from participating in strike action that could disrupt the events. France has also hired additional police officers, military personnel, and security guards to ensure smooth operations. The Olympic Games will last over two weeks starting in late July, while the Paralympic Games are set to take place in late August. The duration of the Paralympic Games is shorter than the Olympic Games and will last for eleven days.
