Top US States for New Manufacturing Jobs
With 520,000 new jobs added since 2010, the U.S. manufacturing industry is seemingly making a comeback. As labor and energy costs increase overseas, American firms including Caterpillar, GE and Ford have begun moving some manufacturing operations back home. Expertise in high tech manufacturing has also contributed to the industry?s resurgence. While economists maintain that manufacturing is unlikely to surpass the service and information industries in prominence, the long term outlook for manufacturing jobs is promising.
