Transit union opens fire on MTA CEO Jay Walder's lifestyle, including $1.6M condo and home in France
New York City transit workers are planning to protest against what they see as the Chairman's lavish lifestyle. After service cuts and layoffs to make up a $900 million short fall, unions say that the Chairman should cut his own salary, and are questioning his $1.6 million apartment and French country home. The Chairman has also said that any wage increases over the next two years should have productivity increases to pay for them. The union has plans to protest outside of his house, and are asking French transit workers to do the same at his house there.
