A new study found that treating restaurant employees well, and offering good wages and benefits will save money in the long term. While the policies have a high short-term cost, better conditions leads to a better performance from staff, lower turnover and leads to higher revenue. The restaurant industry traditionally has lower wages, few benefits and little chance of advancement.
