The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents TSA agents, is asking the agency to do more to inform the public of what the new procedures entail in an effort to shield their members from abuse by angry passengers. TSA agents have reported increased levels of verbal abuse, and there have been some reports of physical violence, according to the union. The government has said that the procedures will change as they evolve.
