Tube strike: Central line drivers stage 24-hour walkout
London's subway drivers are striking on Wednesday over budget cuts that have resulted in the "forced displacement" of employees. The members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union will begin the 24 hour walk tomorrow at 9pm. The strike will affect London's Central Line, an event that Peter McNaught, the line's operations director, deemed "unnecessary". The underground has decreased the amount of displaced workers from 30 to 8 after meetings with the RMT union.
