TV and film workers authorize a strike
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees union that represents roughly 60,000 film and TV workers have announced that workers voted to authorize a strike. This will be the union’s first time that members have authorized a nationwide strike in their 128-year history. The IATSE’s president said of the situation, “Our people have basic human needs like time for meal breaks, adequate sleep, and a weekend.”
