Two Unions, Once Bitter Rivals, Will Now Work Together
The Service Employees International Union and the California Nurses Association put the end to a yearlong fight over the right to organize hospital employees in Ohio, pledging to work together to push for universal health care. The two unions hope to combine efforts to organize nurses and hospital workers across the country, with the nurses to join the CNA while other employees join the SEIU.
