Two Units of AT&T Reach Pacts With Union
AT&T says that it has reached tentative contract agreements with two groups of workers. The workers are all represented by the Communications Workers of America, who said that the agreements were fair, and did not contain deep cuts. The three-year agreements include wage and pension increases, limits on forced overtime and changes to some work rules. The contracts are expected to be ratified in the next few weeks, as other units in the company continue negotiating.
