U.A.W. Picks Fiat Chrysler as Target Company in Labor Talks
The UAW is currently engaged in negotiations with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) over a new collective bargaining agreement that could affect as many as 140,000 employees. These negotiations, which will focus on wage increases and job security, will hopefully establish a new wage and benefits pattern for automobile workers. The UAW chose to engage in negotiations with FCA first because the company's CEO, Sergio Marchionne, has been very vocal over the need increase workers' wages.
