U.S. Capitol Workers, Others Strike for Higher Pay, Union
On Thursday, approximately 800 people marched through the Capitol demanding unionization and higher pay. Some of the workers amongst this group were federal contract workers employed at the U.S. Capitol building. Even though President Obama approved legislation that would raise the minimum wage to $10.10 starting January 2015, workers are demanding an even high raise.
