U.S. Customs and Border Protection Issues Forced Labor Finding
U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a forced labor finding Monday that stevia products were produced using forced labor by Inner Mongolia Hengzheng Group Baoanzhao Agriculture, Industry, and Trade Co. of China. The finding is the highest possible enforcement action on prohibited goods that U.S. Customs and Border Protection can issue. The finding instructs port directors to seize the manufacturer's products when they arrive at U.S. ports and to initiate forfeiture proceedings.
