U.S. Dept. of Labor proposes nearly $1.3 million in fines to Dollar General for workplace violations
On Monday, the Department of Labor announced a proposal for $1.3 million in fines for Dollar General after finding workplace violations at three of its locations in Georgia. Conditions at these locations put employees at risk of injury, and this is not the first time Dollar General has faced this issue. OSHA has reported that its inspectors have frequently found risky working conditions at Dollar General stores. In response to this, Dollar General has emphasized its commitment to worker and customer safety as well as cooperation with OSHA.
