U.S. fast-food workers are striking in droves
Workers in the fast-food sector are on a trend of striking and protesting over low wages, sexual harassment, and safety concerns on the job. April 23rd through May 1st, Wendy's workers in North Carolina went on strike over sexual harassment and abuse from their store’s general manager that upper management refused to address. Jack in the Box employees in California went on strike for three days at the end of April over faulty equipment and staffing shortages. Most recently, on May 2nd Dollar General workers at a store in North Carolina walked off the job over low wages.
