U.S., India Delay Finalizing Agreement
An agreement that would allow transfer of U.S. aircraft technology to Indian manufacturers as well as personnel exchanges between India and the U.S. that was expected to be signed this week has been delayed. The two countries signed the open skies pact that deals with the number and destination of flights between them, but Indian aviation authorities did not get the necessary government approvals to move forward with the technology transfers and training programs agreement.
