U.S. mediation panel calls in attendants' union, NWA
The National Mediation Board on Wednesday called Northwest Airlines and its flight attendants' union leaders to Washington for a meeting next week to discuss their labor conflict. The mediation board's action comes less than a week after U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero granted Northwest's request to bar flight attendants from striking the carrier. Northwest attendants have rejected two concessionary agreements.
