U.S. Postal Service Cutting 7,500 Jobs, Closing 7 Offices
The U.S. Postal Service has announced that it will close seven administrative offices and cut 7,500 jobs to cut costs. The Postal Service says that it will offer incentives to have workers with over 20 years of experience retire. The Postal Service has cut around 230,000 jobs through retirement over the last decade, leaving them with a workforce of about 575,000. They have also said that if no changes are made, they may run out of money this year.
