U.S. Warns A.F.L.-C.I.O. on Protests About Social Security
The Department of Labor has warned the AFL-CIO that it has no authority to spend workers' money via pension plans to advocate a certain outcome regarding President Bush's Social Security efforts. The AFL-CIO is alleged to be targeting and refusing to contribute money to investment firms supporting the Bush plan.
