UAW aims to organize U.S. workers at Asian, Euro auto plants
The UAW says that they are planing to try and organize workers at all auto manufacturing plants in the United States. The president of the UAW says that he has informed foreign manufacturers of the union's plans, and asked them not to interfere. The UAW says that if there are fair elections, they will respect the outcome of those elections. The UAW says that it will begin organizing at a plant level, in an effort to give workers a way to work cooperatively with the management. Toyota has said that it will allow workers at its U.S. plants to vote on a union.
