The United Auto Workers are currently engaged in negotiations with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Although the workers' contracts were supposed to expire at 12:01am on Tuesday, the contract will be extended on an hour-by-hour basis while negotiations continue. The UAW may instruct workers to walk off the job today if negotiations reach an impasse. However, everyone on the 7:30am shift reported to work this morning.
