The United Auto Workers' unionization drive at plants across the US continued to gain momentum after 30 percent of workers in Alabama signed authorization cards at a Mercedes-Benz plant. The result comes just a month after 30 percent of workers signed cards at a Volkswagen plant in Tennessee. The UAW will continue its efforts at both plants in an attempt to force a vote for recognition if a high enough percentage of workers sign the authorization cards.
