UAW Workers Walk Out at Four CNH Plants
CNH Global NV, maker of farm and construction equipment, has been forced to stop production as more than 600 workers at four of their Midwestern plants walked off the job. The action was in response to the failure to negotiate a new six-year contract with the company. The workers, represented by the United Auto Workers, were unhappy with health benefit and wage concession that CNH was demanding.
