Following a decision by the London employment tribunal, Uber drivers in the United Kingdom are officially employees. The 40,000 drivers will now receive the UK’s minimum wage, holiday pay, and paid rest breaks. Uber has announced that it will be appealing the ruling because of its belief that the drivers are independent contractors.
