UMD Grad Students Demand Collective Bargaining Rights
Graduate students at the University of Maryland have been battling with their administration to garner collective bargaining rights. Currently, University of Maryland does have a grievance policy in place where graduate students can voice their concerns to their advisors. However, those advisor meetings are not documented and the students continue to fight for true collective bargaining rights. The situation at the University of Maryland calls attention to the trend of graduate students across the nation battling with their administrations for bargaining rights.
