UN Labor Agency Says Global Recovery Not Helping Unemployed
An International Labor Organization report states that the global economy is improving, but that globally unemployment is rising. Many of the 202 million people around the world who are unemployed are youth, and the proportion is increasing. The International Labor Organization?s report reveals that the largest increase came from South and East Asia, followed closely by sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. Projections show that there will be another 13 million unemployed by 2018. Almost 800 million workers live on two dollars or less per day, making up about a quarter of the world?s labor force.
