Unemployment Claims Rise 4,000 but Still Low
An average of 230,000 jobs were added each month of this year by employers resulting in the lowest unemployment rate since 2007. Even though 4,000 Americans filed for unemployment recently, only 2.46 million received unemployment benefits last month. The Labor Department?s report scheduled to come out Friday will add 220,000 jobs taking the unemployment rate from 6.2% to 6.1%. While the unemployment rate appears to be dropping, wages still remain a huge issue for workers.
