Union Election Results Too Close to Call
Cornell University's graduate student union election results are inconclusive. After two and a half hours of ballot tallying, 856 votes were in favor of recognizing Cornell Graduate Students United and 919 votes were opposed; however, 81 votes did not count, 65 ballots were challenged, 6 absentee ballots have not not counted, and 10 challenge ballots remain unresolved. Approximately 80 percent of the 2,300 eligible voters casted ballots. The election results will be reviewed and a final outcome is expected within the next month.
