Union rights among 6 ballot measures before voters
Michigan voters will decide a ballot proposal that would guarantee bargaining rights for public workers in the state constitution. The measure would ban right-to-work laws and end changes that have been made to some benefits and staffing issues. Opponents of the measure say that it would give unions too much power and would harm local governments, while supporters of the bill argue that it gives workers guaranteed rights. Another ballot measure would allow home health care workers to unionize.
