Union says right-to-work law violates free speech
Indiana's new right-to-work law is being challenged by unions, who say that the law violates their right to free political speech. The unions are arguing that the Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United conflicts with the state's law. Unions are also arguing under other state and federal laws against the right-to-work law. Advocates for the right-to-work law say that it is legal, and that union rights have not been violated. The state has asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
