Union Sues OMB Over Policy on Outsourcing
The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) is filing a lawsuit over policy changes regarding the outsourcing of government work. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) feels that about 850,000 federal jobs are commercial in nature and thus should be open to competitive bidding by private firms. The OMB maintains that any policy revisions that have been made are in keeping with the law.
