Union warns that wildcat strikes could hit Olympics
Construction projects for the 2012 London Summer Olympics could be endangered by threatened strikes by the building union. Disappointed that the Olympic Delivery Authority has refused to set a unified pay structure among subcontractors, Ucatt warned of possible strikes of all construction employees, which could number approximately 10,000 workers at the peak of building in 2010-11 in preparation for the Games.
