Union workers at Pilgrim nuclear plant in Plymouth reject tentative contract
Massachusetts nuclear workers voted down a new contract on Wednesday. The agreement came after workers were locked out two weeks ago, a move the company said was necessary to protect itself against the possibility of a strike. The company said that it is disappointed that the workers voted down what it thought was a good contract. Workers say that they will not accept pay cuts or increased health care costs. The company is operating the plant safely, using managers and employees from other plants.
