Union workers to vote a 3rd time on Crystal offer
American Crystal Sugar workers will vote for a third time on an offer from the company June 23. The 1,300 workers, who have been locked out for more than 10 months by the company, voted down the same offer in July and November. Workers say that it takes away job security and includes higher health care costs. The two sides met last week with a federal mediator, but the company has refused to change its final offer. The company is using replacement workers to run its plants.
