Unions Boycott Wal-Mart
The two largest teachers' unions in the country, the National Education Association, with 2.7 million members, and the American Federation of Teachers, with 1.3 million, have teamed up with the United Food and Commercial Workers to urge shoppers to buy school supplies elsewhere. The teachers' unions are using the busy back-to-school shopping season to protest the retailer's labor practices.
