Unions Hope Democrats Will Counter GOP Policy Changes
After six years of the Bush administration, unions representing federal employees hope that a change in Congressional leadership will also herald a change in policies they consider detrimental to government workers. While the GOP claims that the changes they've made have benefited federal workers, union representatives point to reduced raises, stymied organization, and increased privatization as trends that they hope will soon be reversed.
