Unions rally against Walker, collective bargaining law
On the first anniversary of the anti-collective bargaining law in Wisconsin, thousands of protesters filled the capitol to protest against the bill and Governor Scott Walker. Opponents of the bill are currently working to recall the Governor and other supporters of the bill. The bill took away most collective bargaining rights for state workers, and increased pension and health care costs. Walker said that the measures were necessary for the state's economy. Opponents say that the bill was an excuse to hurt unions, and that they are committed to recalling the Governor.
