Unions step up pensions strike plan
After the British government's plans for worker and employer contributions to pensions were revealed, unions have started balloting members for a strike on November 30. Unite hopes to join the Trades Union Congress in protesting against new pension reforms. The government plans call for workers to pay 3.2% more into their plans. Government officials say that the increases are necessary, and still better than the private sector.
