In a marked demonstration that the labor movement is at times anything but united, the hotel workers' union has sued the Communication Workers of America for attempting to organize employees at tribal casinos in California. Unite Here claims that the AFL-CIO granted it exclusive jurisdiction in 2001 to organize the workers. However, the CWA notes that it already represents employees at two casinos.
