Unite plans to take BA to court over travel concessions
After rejecting British Airways' 'final offer' last week, Unite says that it plans to take the airline to court over the airline's removal of travel perks from striking workers. The airline said that it would reinstate the travel perks, but not the benefits from length of service. Unite says that British Airways actions violated European Human rights legislation. Unite also said that it will support workers who are suffering financially from the dispute with British Airways. The dispute has cost British Airways around 150 million euros, and 22 days of disrupted flights. The two parties are set to meet next week for more talks.
