United Union Rejects Tentative Contract
Members of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association rejected a tentative contract agreement with United Airlines. Union members have also authorized a strike if United succeeds in its efforts to get a federal bankruptcy judge to impose its own terms. This is a setback for United in its efforts to cut labor cost and recover from bankruptcy.
