Unpaid Russian Workers Unite in Protest Against Putin
In several cities across Russia, workers are demanding unpaid wages. In Siberia, employees living on a construction site painted their complaints in white letters on the roof of their dormitories. Some Russian employees are demanding nearly four months in back pay. Workers claim that Putin's economic policies have been the driving force behind their pay freeze. Many employers have not laid off these workers to avoid paying them severance.
