Upcoming employment cases to reach the Supreme Court could potentially alter workplace law
In early November, the Supreme Court will be hearing three employment cases. The decisions of these cases have the potential to influence and change workplace law. One of the cases is related to overtime rules and could impact various industries, especially the energy industry, regarding overtime compensation and day rates. Another case deals with diversity in hiring and admissions at two prominent universities, which has implications for corporate shareholders. The third employment case has the potential to allow workers to sue employers more easily in any of the states that a national company is registered to do business.
