UPS Pilots Union Approves Strike Vote
The executive board of the Independent Pilots Association, the union representing over 2400 pilots at UPS, has approved holding a strike authorization vote among its members. The union and UPS have been trying to negotiate a new contract for two years. Last June a federal mediator was asked to assume a greater role in the negotiations deciding when, where and how often the two sides will meet. More talks are scheduled for May.
