US auto industry braces for labor talks
The United Auto Workers will soon begin contract discussions with Detroit?s Big Three automakers. The UAW has also regained its right to strike following the federal bailout. The new agreements will likely center on wages, which haven?t been raised for eight years for some of the 140,000 union members. Negotiations will begin in mid-July.
