US labor market continues to favor workers and produce wage gains
Despite the Federal Reserve's efforts to combat inflation and cool wage gains in the labor market, data from the Labor Department indicates that job openings remained high in November. The labor market continues to lean in favor of employees, as there are more job openings than unemployed people. Furthermore, the data and recent labor market trends suggest that wage gains will continue to grow so long as workers are empowered to quit their jobs and seek new ones.
