US tech job losses slow
The lowest monthly total of job losses in a year fueled hopes that the US technology sector may be rebounding. 700 tech jobs were lost in June; a substantial improvement when compared to the 471,000 jobs lost in the first half of 2001. Industry leaders are pointing to the trend as a sign the industry is coming out of its two-year slump, but analysts are more cautious warning that it is still to soon to call an end to the downturn.
