US Unemployment Benefit Applications Plunge to 15-Year Low
Since September, unemployment applications have been around 300,000, showing less volatility in unemployment. Employers added nearly 3 million jobs in 2014 marking a large increase in hiring. However, wages only increased by 1.7%. A healthy economy is generally characterized by wage increases of 4% annually.
