USWNT and US Soccer Settle Working Conditions Claims
The United States Soccer Federation has announced that they have resolved previous claims from its female players pertaining to working conditions. The settlement does not address past working conditions or involve any payments to the women’s players, according to a U.S. Soccer official familiar with the agreement. Additionally, it does nothing to address the women’s equal pay claims, where both sides remain far from resolution. In May, Judge Klausner dismissed the players’ case regarding unequal pay to their male coutnerparts. However, by resolving the players’ issues related to working conditions, the players can turn their focus towards overturning the decision on their equal pay claims.
