Vaccine mandate makes some companies worry about finding and keeping workers
Big and small businesses alike are impacted by President Joe Biden’s new federal vaccine mandate. The CEO of South Motors said, “in a tight marketplace, it's very difficult to find employees, much less to keep our current employees.” Companies with 100 plus employees must require their employees to be vaccinated or offer weekly testing, many of these companies are worried that their vaccination-averse workers will quit, and job seekers won't apply for their openings. Meanwhile, the smaller companies that are exempt from this mandate are using it to their advantage to hire more staff in the face of their labor shortages.
