Various employees in the California State University System will receive annual pay raises in recently reached tentative contract
The California State University System has reached tentative agreements with employees at various universities. Workers at universities and colleges in the California State University System are represented by three different unions. Campus nurses, custodians, and campus support workers are represented by the California State University Employees Union, police and security officers are represented by the Statewide University Police Association, and academic student workers are represented by the United Auto Workers. The agreement reached will provide employees with five percent pay raises each year for the next two to three years. These wage increases are dependent on a certain level of state funding for the California State University System, and if the funding received is lower than this amount, negotiations will be reopened between the two parties.
